Cry of Silence / The Naturals / Eddie Lam All-Star Band

Eddie Lam is a multi-instrumentalist and a Vancouver-born music scene veteran with one of the most diverse musical portfolios in town. A three-time Whammy Award winner for best piano player (and the first Chinese Canadian to win a Whammy Award), he is most known for being the front man and rhythm guitar player for local all-Asian rock band Cry of Silence, one of the instrumentalists in Vancouver-based cover band The Naturals who coordinate live band karaoke experience called Rockaoke Live, and host plus piano man for Piano Karaoke Night. Ed can also be found playing as a solo performer, merging members from his bands to form the Eddie Lam All-Star Band and hosting other live shows with unique formats featuring Vancouver’s finest local musicians.

Recently, Eddie has increased his presence online. He not only utilizes YouTube to make unique song covers, but since the Summer of 2020, he is well known for using TikTok to create quick and easy guitar chord tutorials for acoustic guitar players teaching what chords to play for easy hit songs in just under one minute. In addition, he plays familiar hit songs on his instruments to allow any TikTok users to use the duet feature to sing along. Eddie can also be found on Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook livestreaming playing his instruments and singing.  As a bonus, he hosts a weekly podcast every Monday night called Music Talk Mondays discussing various music-related topics plus Q&A.
